How OKAVG is funded: referral links, how they work, and the editorial rules that keep our recommendations independent.
This page explains how OKAVG is funded, in plain language.
What we use
Some articles on OKAVG contain referral (affiliate) links to cryptocurrency exchanges, currently including OKX. If you open such a link and create an account, the exchange may pay this site a commission — typically a share of trading fees, under the exchange's referral program terms. This never costs you anything extra; in some cases referral sign-ups include new-user benefits, which are shown on the exchange's own sign-up page.
How you can tell
Every article containing a referral link carries a disclosure notice at the top of the article, before any content. If there is no notice, there is no referral link.
Our rules
- Referral links appear only where contextually relevant (e.g. an account-setup walkthrough), never disguised as neutral buttons or hidden in unrelated text.
- We do not quote specific commission rates, fee discounts or reward amounts, because programs change — the sign-up page always shows the current terms.
- Referral income does not influence editorial judgment. Articles about a product's risks say what needs saying; several of our most-read guides actively discourage beginners from using the very features that would generate commissions.
- We are not affiliated with OKX or any exchange beyond participating in their public referral programs, which are open to any user.
The important reminder
Crypto assets are volatile and leveraged products can lose money rapidly. Nothing on this site is investment advice, and no referral benefit changes the risk profile of a product. Never invest money you cannot afford to lose.
